You can make a difference in your local hospital and community by sharing your time and talents! A list of hospital volunteer opportunities are listed below. There are also a number of volunteer opportunities through our Partners of MMH&C organization. More information about the Partners can be found in the column on the right
Moundview has volunteer opportunities available for greeters/escorts and support services. No experience is necessary. Volunteers must 18 years or older, be able to work independently, possess good interpersonal and communication skills, adhere to confidentiality policies, and be in good physical, emotional and mental health. State and federal laws require background and reference checks to be completed before volunteering at the hospital.
Volunteers greet persons in the hospital lobby and provide them with information including directions on how to find hospital services, patients or staff. They also offer wheelchairs to patients and escort them, as needed, to their vehicle, room or hospital department. Other duties may include providing coffee or tea in the lobby and checking on the status of appointments for patients.
Volunteers may provide various supportive functions at Moundview such as assisting with mailings, making photocopies, distributing literature, light typing and office work, volunteering at community events and more.
If interested in these volunteer opportunities, please contact Char Harris, Human Resources, at (608) 339-8374 or .
