All digital services are available through Moundview’s Medical Imaging Department at the hospital. Our technologists are committed to providing patients with the best care possible. We work closely with your primary care provider to help determine a precise diagnosis. If your provider is located in another city, you can still choose Moundview for your imaging services. Just ask them for a referral. We will send the results directly to your provider.
Moundview recently invested in new technology for our Medical Imaging Department including a state-of-the-art CT scanner, ultrasound machine and digital mammography. A picture archiving and communications system (PACS) allows radiology images to be stored, transmitted and viewed digitally on a computer by our radiologists and primary care providers from multiple locations – whether it’s the hospital or their home office.
Services are available for emergencies 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Most outpatient screening tests are offered Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition to the hospital, x-ray services are available at our family clinic in Westfield.
Imaging tests are interpreted by radiologists from Medical X-ray Consultants. Cardiac imaging tests are interpreted by consulting board certified cardiologists. Images can be transmitted 24-hours a day enabling specialists to view them as soon as possible. This results in more timely care for our patients.
