Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics' Emergency Department and Urgent Care share the same entrance and location. When patients arrive they will be taken to a room in the emergency department, depending on room availability. The patient will then be examined by a registered nurse to determine whether their condition needs urgent care or is more serious, requiring emergency care. In some cases this can't be determined until the patient's condition is officially diagnosed.
If you receive a prescription during your emergency or urgent care visit, you can use InstyMeds, a 24/7 automated prescription medication dispenser. Similar to a vending machine, it allows patients to receive medications after hours when local pharmacies are closed. Prescriptions can be sent directly to InstyMeds. The machine takes your insurance information and calculates your co-pays and deductibles. You then use a credit or debit card to pay your portion of the costs or pay cash to Moundview staff for a pre-paid debit card to use in the machine. Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics has a Financial Assistance Program that may help with funding for eligible individuals.
