Clergy Services
We will attempt to contact clergy members of a patient’s choosing upon the request of the patient or their family during their stay in the hospital or emergency room.
Food Services
Moundview offers a room service menu that can meet the needs of most patients. Please inform the nursing staff of any special nutrition needs you have including: food allergies, swallowing concerns, religious food restrictions, chewing concerns and food preferences.  Patient visitors may order a guest tray from the patient's room service menu for a small fee.  The meal will be delivered to the patient's room.  Visitors may also eat in the hospital’s cafeteria located in the lower level. Cafeteria hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 -10:30 am and 12:00-1:30 p.m. The cafeteria is not open for dining on the weekends or evenings, but guests who are visiting a patient may order off the room service at those times.

Vending machines for snacks and beverages are located in the lower level by the dining area, and in the retail concourse (the hallway connecting the hospital and clinic lobbies). In addition, snacks may be purchased in the hospital’s gift shop during their hours of operation. Coffee is available in the lower level vending room 24-hours a day.
Gift Shop
A gift shop is located near the hospital’s main entrance and offers a variety of items including candy, cards, gifts and collectibles. The shop is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  It is closed on weekends and holidays. The gift shop is run entirely by volunteers of the Partners of MMH&C. Proceeds benefit Moundview.
Interpreter Services
When needed, we will contact someone to assist us in communicating with patients who are limited at speaking English.
Lost and Found
Please report any lost items by calling the hospital at (608) 339-3331.

Meditation Room
A meditation room is located off of the main hospital lobby, near the gift shop. Patients and visitors are encouraged to use the room for the purpose of prayer, meditation, visits with clergy, and private conversations between family and medical staff. It is available 24-hours a day.

Phone Use
Telephones are provided in hospital patient rooms for local calls or long distance calls with the use of your own calling card. Cell phones may be used in the facility unless it interferes with patient care.  Please be courteous during phone calls, especially when the patient you are visiting should be resting or if a patient in a nearby room may be disturbed by your call.
Smoking Policy
Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited inside all buildings, near entrances and on all grounds. The hospital’s medical staff has asserted that patients are not permitted to smoke. A smoking cessation program is available to staff, patients and community members who wish to quit smoking.
Visiting Hours
Visitors play an important role in supporting patients. General visiting hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. However, we promote a family friendly environment with flexible visiting hours. Family and friends may visit when convenient or needed with respect to the patient’s needs.

In special circumstances, arrangements can be made for visitors to stay with the patient. Please consult a nurse to determine if these arrangements can be made. To ensure that patients and staff are not exposed to contagious illnesses, we ask those who are ill to not visit patients and instead contact them by phone.

Children are welcome to visit with adult supervision. Visitors inquiring about a patient or resident by name will be informed of the person’s room and/or phone number. Patients should inform staff if they do not want this information released. A sign will be placed on the patient’s door if they do not want visitors.
